By downloading, installing, or using the Sift mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Sift is a content aggregation application that curates news articles and YouTube videos based on your selected interest categories. The App allows you to browse, like, and save content from third-party publishers and platforms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sift. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Third-party content
All articles and videos displayed in Sift are sourced from third-party publishers and YouTube. We do not own this content. Your interactions with third-party content are governed by the terms of those respective platforms and publishers.
Our content
The Sift name, logo, design, and original software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our proprietary content without prior written permission.
Your data
Content you create within the App (e.g., saved items, liked items, interest preferences) belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store and display this data in order to provide the service.
The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase, PostHog, and YouTube. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.
Content accuracy
We aggregate content from third-party RSS feeds and YouTube. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any third-party content displayed in the App.
Service availability
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice.
"As is" basis
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sift and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 USD if you have not paid us anything).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
